Meet the thriving eco-system of entrepreneurship and startup stakeholders at DTU. More than two startups companies springs out of DTU every week. Get the story behind this unique and innovative environment at the DTU Startup Fair.
Top teams from around the world are gathered in Copenhagen for one week. Here, they will develop and present their ideas, explore the Scandinavian start-up scene, meet with investors and finally compete to be voted the best student startup in the world.
Hardtech Entrepreneurship is a course/incubator hosted by DTU-Mechanical Engineering, designed to help companies explore the potential of their technologies or challenges, by collaborating with Master’s students.
Challenge: Students solving societal challenges in Open Innovation X
The Open Innovation X program brings students in close collaboration with companies, organizations and researchers to jointly solve grand technological challenges for the biggest societal impact.
DTU Science Park
Futurebox is DTU Science Park’s incubator and accelerator for ambitious deep tech startups. We match startups with industry partners, investors, mentors and other experts. All to help startups shorten their runway to the market and increase their likelihood of success.
Danish Tech Challenge
Futurebox also houses Danish Tech Challenge—Denmark’s most intensive and ambitious accelerator programme for hardware startups. Each year, Danish Tech Challenge handpicks 20 startups who compete for the prize of DKK 500,000 from the Danish Industry Foundation.
Entrepreneurship at DTU
The final networking fair is a way to enable students to interact with student-entrepreneurs and with the other organizations at DTU. The event also attracts a significant number of professionals that are interested in the latest ideas of students. DemoDay took place at the High Tech Summit 2017 and again in 2018.
Stardust-DTU is a student-driven organization that promotes entrepreneurship. The biggest event is Demo Day and takes place 2 times per year (October and February). The event is mainly targeting students and features two pitching sessions, a panel talk, and a networking fair.
The purpose of the event is to let students know what the possibilities are within the DTU startup ecosystem and to inspire them to try out entrepreneurship by showcasing success stories of student-run startups.
