Stardust Demoday

The final networking fair is a way to enable students to interact with student-entrepreneurs and with the other organizations at DTU. The event also attracts a significant number of professionals that are interested in the latest ideas of students. DemoDay took place at the High Tech Summit 2017 and again in 2018.

Stardust-DTU is a student-driven organization that promotes entrepreneurship. The biggest event is Demo Day and takes place 2 times per year (October and February). The event is mainly targeting students and features two pitching sessions, a panel talk, and a networking fair.

The purpose of the event is to let students know what the possibilities are within the DTU startup ecosystem and to inspire them to try out entrepreneurship by showcasing success stories of student-run startups.

“This is not a High Tech Summit – this is a world class summit. Technological development is our most important tool when it comes to ensure sustainable development – and your commitment, ideas and talent is pivotal for the realization of a better future for our children and grandchildren. Sustainability is not only common sense – it has become good business too. The time has come – not to ask what you can do for the global goals – but what the global goals can do for you. It may not sound heroic. But to be honest. I don’t care how it sounds, as long as it makes the world – the entire world – a better place.”

“In my career, I have participated or spoken at hundreds of innovation events. Rarely do I see an event that can attract the interest of the Prime Minister but also keep the environment intimate for real connections to occur organically. The fact that an industry event was open to students really showed that DTU is serious about engaging all parts of their ecosystem. This is what is needed to put Copenhagen on the startup map with the Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv, and Berlin. Well done!”
