Why are you exhibiting at DTU High Tech Summit 2019? “In 2008 when Anticimex Innovation Center began its activity under the name WiseCon it was with the invention of a connected mechanical rat trap for sewers. The product portfolio grew with other connected systems above ground and in 2017 WiseCon was acquired by Anticimex and renamed Anticimex Innovation Center (hereafter AIC). Since the acquisition, AIC has undergone a transition process from start-up company to innovation house and today, we are developing new and exciting products at full speed. So why are we at the summit? We are always looking for highly skilled people for our development, support, training, and test tasks and we want to raise awareness about Anticimex as a high-tech workplace with cutting edge solutions and a lot of growth potential.”
Rasmus Skou Bjerre, Product Development Manager
Which main themes interest you the most?
“Our daily work involves many of the DTU High Tech Summit themes with IoT and Big Data being our main focus since we want to digitize the pest business and use data instead of poison. We are working to replace the old ways with a more sustainable and more efficient way of relieving the world of its pest problems. Our good colleague Peter Raahauge Jensen will give a presentation on this exact topic at the summit.”
What role do digitalization and robotic technology play in your company?
“As mentioned, all our efforts at AIC are put into digitizing the pest business and we see a huge potential in this. Being able to predict and prevent a pest problem, before any damage is caused, has enormous value for our customers. Our goal is to give our customers peace of mind. They don’t have to worry about potential pest problems since we use sensors and data to monitor their sites – we will be warned in advance! At the first sign of trouble, we can put in a quick and efficient effort before any damage is done. Furthermore, we use our data for route planning, predictive maintenance and getting more efficient at what we do.”
What holds the most value for you at the summit?
“We want to meet other companies with IoT at their core. We want to show the world what we can do and why we have a cool workplace even if pest control is not the sexiest line of business. Finally, we want to meet potential new colleagues!”
What can we expect from Anticimex Innovation Center A/S at DTU High Tech Summit 2019?
“We will line up some of our current products, some of our coming products and some of our finest developers! We will show and tell you about how we develop our new products, how we do multi-site and multi-national collaborations. We will expect a lot of nice and nerdy discussions about wireless tech, cellular communications, and IoT in general.”
“It’s no use closing your eyes to the changes. We need to constantly keep up and try to influence the process.”
