Why are you exhibiting at High Tech Summit 2019?
“Siemens is very active within the area of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT): We have our own IIoT MindSphere, which is used by all types of companies all over the world. An important part of MindSphere is our ecosystem, where we work closely with companies, partners, developers and especially universities. At the High Tech Summit we look forward to having a great dialogue about IIoT.”
Henrik Ruff, Nordic Digital Enterprise Manager at Siemens
Which main themes interest you most?
“At Siemens we work with a lot of interesting technologies and I find them all very interesting. To pick a few that really captivates me at the moment, besides IoT, it would be “Industry 4.0” in general, robotics, Edge-computing and Artificial Intelligence.
Industrial Internet of Things will often be an integrated part of future automation projects within the manufacturing industries.”
What role does digitalization and robotic technology play in your company?
“For Siemens digitalization is a key part of our overall strategy. We are investing heavily in R&D related to digitalization, covering the whole value chain from product design, to manufacturing and digital services. Digitalization is the future for Siemens and our customers.”
What holds most value for you at the summit?
“Having a dialogue with inspiring people is very important. I look forward to good discussions with a lot of people from both the universities and from the companies visiting.”
What can we expect from (you/your company) at High Tech Summit 2019?
“During the High Tech Summit, Siemens will be presenting our latest technologies, especially with a focus on the IIoT MindSphere. We hope as many people as possible will visit us in order to have some good dialogues.”
“It’s no use closing your eyes to the changes. We need to constantly keep up and try to influence the process.”
