GovTech paving the way for a better society. New technology like Cloud, RPA, ML, AI, and Blockchain holds the promise of redefining and improving the public sector. We invite you to take part in the journey.
The public sector is a growing market for tech companies
Across the globe, a growing number of entrepreneurs, startups, and companies are offering the public sector new services and solutions based on new technology in domains most of us will be able to relate to: from health, to transport, to security, to education, to work, to payments.
For young hopeful entrepreneurs, GovTech is a unique opportunity to build services and solutions that can benefit society while building a sustainable and profitable business. The Danish GovTech market is a billion-dollar market and expected to grow in the years to come as the demand for digital solutions and new technology increases. Globally, GovTech is estimated at $400bn.
Denmark is a global frontrunner when it comes to public digitization and is uniquely positioned to become a European hub for GovTech companies. To pave the way for new GovTech companies and stronger public sector innovation, the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and the Agency of Digitalization have launched Denmark’s first GovTech program Govtechprogram.dk matches public sector challenges with innovative solutions in the private market while gathering crucial learnings on how to improve our ability to engage and interact with the private sector, including startups and SMEs.
We are very pleased that GovTech has been selected as a theme at DTU High Tech Summit 2019 – the venue and audience are hugely relevant for the GovTech agenda. If you are interested in improving the public sector with new technology, we encourage you to check out the latest batch of challenges on www.govtechprogram.dk.
“It’s no use closing your eyes to the changes. We need to constantly keep up and try to influence the process.”
