Venture Cup hosts the University Startup World Cup. The goal is to create a network among the best international, entrepreneurial students in which they can be inspired, benchmark their ideas and turn academic knowledge into viable high-growth businesses. Every year, 40 of the world’s best university startup teams are invited to Copenhagen to compete for the title as the “World’s Best University Startup” and the grand prize of $15,000 to help them kickstart their business.
This year, the World Cup is focusing on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals which means the startups are all striving towards one of these goals and making an impact.
Drop by the library at DTU Thursday, October 31st and meet the startups who are all super eager to showcase their ideas which vary from the newest technology within healthcare, air flight taxis, a device to detect emotions in people unable to communicate, and many more!
Venture Cup is a nationwide non-profit organization that has over 19 years of experience in discovering and developing university startups. The organization is owned by all the Danish universities (besides RUC) and is a platform for university startups.
“It’s no use closing your eyes to the changes. We need to constantly keep up and try to influence the process.”
